This program prepares the students for employment in 2 sub categories namely, abdomen/superficial structures and obstetrics/gynecology in the scope of general sonography. The vascular program distinguishes itself with 1040 supervised clinical hours.
The Washburn University Diagnostic Medical Sonography program offers an online instruction/lecture curriculum along with a clinical practicum component. Most online applicants are students who have allied health programs under their belt. This program is accredited by CAAHEP.
Mountain State University offers bachelor’s, allied science and certificate through online ultrasound tech programs. The program is set up so as to keep the student as close to home as possible. Clinical rotations in hospitals in order for the student to obtain hands-on experience are arranged so that commute to the practicum site is reasonable.
